1:1 somatic coaching is a partnership where we explore what's important to you, how your life’s journey and social conditions have shaped you, and what needs to change in order for you to move toward what you want to experience and who you want to be in the world.
Initially, a coaching session might look like traditional therapy. We start with a dialogue about how you’re showing up and what you’d like to focus on. We'll then turn to noticing qualities of the sensations throughout the body and mind.
Based on what surfaces and always with consent, we’ll address what arises by catering and integrating processes and practices rooted in the Strozzi Institute somatic methodology and other modalities that inform my practice.
These techniques expose what’s happening in your conscious, unconscious and visceral experience, which expresses itself as yearnings, aversions, impulses, habits, constriction, temperature, emotions, images, feelings and more.
Every session is impactful. You will have tangible skills and grow your somatic competencies.
An embodied healing experience is often significantly less costly than traditional talk therapy because it requires fewer sessions to reap benefits.
Success of this work depends on one's level of commitment both in and out of sessions.

Somatic bodywork is a wonderful path for deepening into sensations. I offer a safe, attuned and warm presence where clients can learn to gain greater access to the intelligence of their visceral experience.
Bodywork is particularly supportive to clients who have difficulty in "dropping in" to their felt senses.
Clients who relate to this might define themselves as "heady" or "intellectual" or as having trauma histories that impacted their ability to resource safety because it wasn't safe to feel.
When bodywork is performed in-person, the client is fully clothed, typically reclined on a massage table, where I apply touch to specific pressure points on the body. Breathing exercises are incorporated which helps oxygenate the tissues and bring awareness to one's energy or aliveness. It is not massage.
Bodywork sessions can also happen virtually. I will invite the client to position themselves in a way that feels conducive for their body, always fully clothed.
Then I guide the client to notice sensations, breath, and invite ways of applying self-touch to areas that hold different qualities like constriction, pain, pressure, numbness. Giving time and space to clients to notice and process.
Sessions close with reflection about insights gleaned, how they relate to what the client is working towards and how to integrate these into daily life.

I'm excited and inspired to partner with individuals and organizations committed to transformational change work.
Group work offers a unique and potent space for people to explore and practice on purpose in a shared journey of learning, as individuals and as a collective body.

As coach and client, we are in partnership. I follow your lead and trust in the wisdom of your experience as it shows up in your body-mind or soma.
We’ll grow your capacity to feel and listen more deeply, and hone your ability to use attention as a pathway to self-discovery.We’ll move at a cadence that feels safe, relevant and practical. Expect to move out of your comfort zone.
These offerings are always in service of what’s most important to you and with consent. Sessions can happen virtually or in-person.

I’m grateful to be on this path and committed to sharing these powerful practices for the sake of our collective healing and the evolution to our future selves.
