  • Here you’ll find an extensive presentation of the origins of the Strozzi lineage.

As a Strozzi certified somatic coach and bodyworker, and an IFS®-informed practitioner, I partner with individuals to reclaim and reconnect with the aliveness and wisdom of their bodies—moving beyond intellectual understanding to an embodied experience of transformation grounded in integrity, purpose and presence. I hold that our individual healing transforms our world. It’s a collective political act that moves us towards liberation.

My practice is trauma-informed and shaped by 25+ years of professional and creative endeavors, spiritual practice and therapeutic explorations in traditional and alternative modalities. As a biracial woman born into the first generation of fully legal interracial marriage in the U.S., my life has been defined by navigating identities, seeking self-realization and reclaiming authentic self-expression. My work in social services and DEI taught me that "good ideas" aren’t sufficient for sustainable change—we need to feel the change, not just think it. How we relate to ourselves and the world around us will change—the mind will change—when the body learns new, responsive ways of being.

Strozzi somatics explains how and speaks a language rooted in a living lineage that recognizes the most complex layers of our shaping: personal, historical, environmental, systemic… My somatic learning is ongoing, inspired by the leadership and wisdom of my teachers. A deep bow to MawuLisa Thomas-Adeyemo, Staci K. Haines, Prentis Hemphill, Erika Lyla, Linda Thai, and the Strozzi Institute community.

I love to collaborate with creatives, therapists, activists, and justice seekers looking to bring their whole, authentic selves to their lives and work. My goal is to help you feel deeply resourced, empowered, and sustainable as you serve the world.

I work virtually and in-person. I am currently based on the unceded land of the Multnomah, Chinook and Clackamas tribes also known as Portland, Oregon, while establishing a bicoastal presence on the unceded ancestral land of the Munsee Lenape in Brooklyn, New York.

When I’m not working, you can find me at the Oregon coast or making soup.

“Kristin created such a beautiful and open container for me (and everyone) to express themselves and move freely…I walked away with helpful daily somatic practices and a deeper connection to my soma. I would highly recommend working with Kristin!”

“[Kristin] embodies a great deal of wisdom with kindness and honesty -- a rare combination. She is knowledgeable and skilled in this approach to somatic transformation, as well as the more subtle art of how to be present with people. She facilitated a truly powerful shared experience for our group.”
